Very striking. Eating another type of fly. Found in some sedge-like grasses along the sandy bank of a river.

Female
Isn't this the female, with a pointy, almost-hairless abdominal apex, held straight? The images of the males show a bulbous, blunt and hairy tip, held with a slightly down-turned curve. If that's correct, we can label the gender on most of these images.
