fruit fly - Trupanea actinobola - Female
Warsaw, Hancock County, Illinois, USA
August 2, 2016
This fruit fly reminds me of Neotephritis but it's wings lack the dark markings throughout - they are just on the outer portion. It was seen on daisy fleabane along the banks of the Mississippi River.
