Eastern Pondhawk (teneral) - Erythemis simplicicollis

Eastern Pondhawk (teneral) - Erythemis simplicicollis
Spring Valley Wildlife Area, Greene County, Ohio, USA
June 10, 2007
We have lots of Eastern Pondhawks at this location, but this dragonfly doesn't have their black tail markings. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Teneral pondhawk
This looks like it could be a teneral pondhawk, meaning it has just emerged and has not gained all of its markings and colors yet.

re: Teneral pondhawk
