Giant yellow moth in Alabama - Eacles imperialis

Size: 6 inches by 2 inches
I think this may be an Imperial Moth and perhaps yellow eggs left side of photo? Lots more "eggs" not in photo. Quite a mystery to me. Found on concrete floor of carport.
