“That record is over 500 miles (as the crow flies) from SE Arizona were
seminitidus
is most closely recorded. If a female
Enaphalodes taeniatus
were to lose its pubescence, there would be no way easy way to distinguish females of
taeniatus
and
seminitidus
from each other. Males can be separated by their pronotal sculpturing. Females of seminitus seem to have to slightly wider pronotum than females of
taeniatus
but you can't really tell by the photograph.”
