I'm curious about this wasp. I came across it close to a dead field cricket on a pathway. It moved off a bit as I approached then, when I stepped back, darted in and grabbed the cricket, dragging it off into the undergrowth. Now I'm thinking the cricket wasn't dead, but simply paralyzed by the wasp. I thought it was a spider wasp but now I don't know. Can anyone tell me what kind of wasp this is?
