Asilid - Townsendia albomacula
San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
July 31, 2016
Found on tip of very low stem on 'grassland', bank of dry wash. Approximate spot = N 31.71980 W 110.18825.

This is definitely the smallest robber I have ever seen and I'm surprised I found it (them). I would guess 4-5mm long. It took some patience but I was able to get close enough to use the MP-E.

Supposed
to be a different species in AZ from our eastern species and only one there. Very difficult to shoot. Nice work.
