Grant's Hercules Beetle (Dynastes grantii) - Dynastes grantii - male

Grant's Hercules Beetle (Dynastes grantii) - Dynastes grantii - Male
Near Globe, Gila County, Arizona, USA
September 5, 2015
Size: 64mm
Came to black light. Excellent major male at 64mm.

Moved, Dynastes granti (impressive male, indeed!)
Moved from ID Request.

Majors
Very few of the males I have noted in person or photos seem to have the extra two tubercles below the thoracic horn as in this specimen. The individual I submitted this evening was 61mm and does not posess these tubercles. Perhaps only the largest specimens exhibit these tubercles.
