This specimen has all black elytra and therefore appears, cosmetically, to be in agreement with the Arizonan P. nigripennis....trick will be to rear out the morphotypic larva of the Arizonan P. nigripennis that I found in the Davis Mts., along with that of the suspect larva for P. pallens to see what they mature to.
