You got me on the gender... Aren't the males a different color? Was just reading about them when doing ID research. Found a great link.

 
The inner margin of male eyes
The inner margin of male eyes is sub-parallel for some distance and even narrowing a little before widenining abruptly. Female eyes are wider apart and widening gradually almost immediately after base.
