Based on images I found here, I think it's a Rose Chafer... would just like confirmation. (Or contradiction!)

Macrodactylus subspinosus certainly looks right to me. This is a pretty distinctive beetle. Nice shot. I must say, those legs don't look too functional. I'd be interested to actually see one of these myself
