Size: ~2.7cm
Looks like Sphecius speciosus, but what a solitary yellow spot is doing at the proximal part of the first thoracic segment?

abdominal spot?
I suspect that's just something stuck that abdominal segment, maybe some dirt from digging tunnels. It actually looks pink on my monitor and distinct from the yellow markings that are supposed to be there.

I think you nailed it.
Sphecius speciousus. I could be way off base, but that spot may simply be the result of variation within the species.
