Philanthus sanbornii, male (IL)
Note that the inner margins of the eyes of the male of this species are strongly convergent towards the vertex. Not a common species (at least in Ontario). Nice job!

Simply outstanding image of a male wasp in the genus Philanthus. For species you will have to wait for a different expert:-)
