The Anatomy of Insects & Spiders: Over 600 Exquisite Forms
By Claire Beverley, David Ponsonby
Chronicle Books, 2003
ISBN: 0-8118-3983-4
Cite: 12775 with citation markup [cite:12775]
An interesting little book with over 600 entomological drawings, engravings, and woodcuts from the Victorian era grouped together by order. Each set of illustrations is accompanied by a brief discussion of their respective order, often including accounts from early naturalists.

nice book in many ways, but...
...of more than questionable value as reference source for BG purposes, being a rather haphazard collection of both illustrations (some excellent, others very poor) and facts (often overly generalized to cater to a lay audience) -- in other words, the text, to be properly used, requires too much caution, discretion, and caveats to be recommended to BG users.
