Size approximate. Had red on hind wings when flew. Is this a Ruby Tiger Moth (Phragmatobia fuliginosa, #8156)? Seems rather dark, and that's how it actually looked. This is not an artifact of the lighting in the picture.

Ruby Tiger looks good
I can see traces of red under the head plus it has the one black dot on the wing.
