Looks right, but expert confirmation would be appreciated.

Female - Horntail
This looks like a female Urocerus californicus. (western range) If confirmed, a first for your state, congrats! I don't think that you need the other image and it is very blurry. You should probably send it to frass.

thanks, that certainly looks likely. The altitude here is about 8200 feet. Noticed that other observations on bg for this insect have included altitude.
