Are these male and female Upis ceramboides - Roughened Darkling Beetle??? - Upis ceramboides
Lake Park, Becker County, Minnesota, USA
August 22, 2016
Found these together at night on the cut side of a log in a woodpile. The log was aspen cut several years ago, so kind of punky and had lots of fungi. They were just hanging out on the vertical surface as shown, not moving. The antenna appear different, not sure if it is the angle of the photo or if there are differences between male and female antennae. Also, not 100% sure of the ID.
