Eastern Hercules Beetle - Dynastes tityus - Male

Size: about 1,5 inches long
Found at the base of a light pole at an Ingles super market. Guess it had been attracted to the light last night and it ran into the pole and got stunned. Seems okay now. Brought it home and released it in my garden.

Nice find! I've always wanted to find one of these. One time I found a dead specimen in a motel parking lot. This looks like a decent sized male dynastes tityus.
