Sericoplaga externalis

Sericoplaga externalis
Brighton, Monroe County, New York, USA
August 6, 2016
Size: 17 mm wingspan
I believe this is Sericoplaga externalis based on the wing shape and white fringe. If so, it is a first for the northeastern U.S., although it is found in neighboring Pennsylvania. Its food plant, Osage orange (Maclura pomifera) can be found in my area, although it is not native.
