Checked the guide for Illinois this s the closest although don't know anything about different subspecies

I looked through tiger beetle images from IL on BugGuide and counted 12 species, so there are at least that many for sure.

 
Exactly 20 tiger beetle species given IL status
in the Catalogue of (North American) Geadephaga by Bousquet (2012) in which one is marked uncertain: Cicindela ancocisconensis.

I was guessing when I said 20. It would be a great challenge to find the 19 known species but you would end up putting a lot of miles on your car.
