black beetle with red margined pronotum

Kuschelina scripticollis
Am moving this to Kuschelina scripticollis...

Kuschelina vians
Am sitting here looking at a half unit tray full of K. vians plus two specimens of K. scripticollis in the TAMUIC plus I'm reading up on both spp. in the Lead Beetle Catlog(1). Seems that the taxon scripticollis was treated as a northern form of K. vians but the authors of the LBC elevated it to full species status.

K. vians consistently have the dorsal portion of their pronota filled with black except for the reddish edges. K. scripticollis have a kind of squiggly bold line through their pronota: Am moving these to K. vians...

for the ID, Mike.
