Houston we have a problem - Thyanta calceata

Houston we have a problem - Thyanta calceata
Charleston, Charleston County, South Carolina, USA
July 15, 2007
I swept this poor (juvenile?) stink bug up with a crab spider "riding" on it's back. The bug was active and running around for the entire time until I released it. Is the spider "defective"? I assumed these crabs have fast acting venom?

Thyanta calceata (Say) -- D. B. Thomas det.
Moved from Thyanta.

Stink Bug
The Stink Bug looks to be a Thyanta, maybe cus*tator, but I'm not sure. It is an adult, as you can see from the spread wings.
Can't help you with the spider, though.
