I've been calling this Chionodes bicostomaculella
The pattern fits and it has the orange scutellum.

ID supported by Terry Harrison

Confused
Hodges 1999 separates bicostomaculella from similar species in the formosella complex by having no yellow or orange scales in the wings. I'm wondering if these are all misidentified including the live image at MPG. Tom's example, Photo#1273621, is the only one that seems correct. Hodges illustrates the species and Tom’s match’s one of the more pale examples.

You might run this by Terry again. Perhaps he has dissected bicostomaculella and found some with yellowish scales.

I updated the Info page.
