These larva appear to have moved across the sugar maple leaf causing circular feeding pattern. The larva itself was found in the case, a ravioli-like pouch made of circular-cut leaves on either side.

This appears to be Paraclemensia acerifoliella (Incurvariidae).

I found the adults this spring in the same location, doesn't look like their were any larvae photos on bugguide (until now)
