While my wife and son enjoyed the beach, I took the dog for a long walk. After wandering through the woods a while, found myself in a grassy meadow with lots of milkweed above the beach. Then noticed the skippers on the milkweed flowers, and took some photos which I identified later. After I posted about it on MassLep, was told by Phillip deMaynadier that this was a first record for Cape Elizabeth township, and the northernmost record so far for the species in Maine. First Maine record for the Guide, too...
