Palos Verdes Peninsula, Los Angeles County, California, USA
September 3, 2016
Size: ~ 2.5 mm
Found on top of my car, which was parked under a Peruvian Pepper tree (Schinus molle) for a few hours.
There were also eucalyptus trees in the vicinity.

This is the western-most Californian record so far, indicating that this species is indeed (well) established and spreading (rapidly).
I will notify Eric Gordon.

All photos are indeed from the same specimen.
I found only one that day.

I did revisit the site a few days ago and parked in the same spot and upon return found two specimens on my car !
I don't know what the link is with the Peruvian Pepper tree (that is shedding blossoms like it snowed) ...

Nice pics + well documented. I wonder if these will soon become just as widely distributed as other Eucalypt pests in CA. I've made a map of our current understanding of its distribution: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1GGJ85OV35N6BWFaK80TMyGVETIs&usp=sharing
It's probably much more widely distributed than this map suggests, but not a lot of people reporting it yet.

Bronze bugs
We need an update... has it spread to other counties? Can someone send specimens for our reference collection? No one seems to have officially published an article of this species in the USA. Can anyone go out collecting some specimens please?

Bronze bugs
Please could you collect some more?... Pleas post more photos too! This is great material. How is the situation in 2019? Still only in LA is showing now in other counties? We need reference specimens. Can you or colleagues collect some for our museum?
