Psellidotus novella - female

Psellidotus novella - Female
Travis County, Texas, USA
September 4, 2016

Moved from Stratiomyini.

Did some looking around...
...and I'm thinking this might be Psellidotus novella:

I'll let the experts make the official call, though.

Thank you
That is as close of a match as I have seen. Leg color, stripes across the eyes, and yellow and black pattern. That's gotta be it.

Moved from ID Request.

Female - Soldier Fly
This looks like a female Hoplitimyia constans. (widespread eastern range?) Let's see what the experts say.

Thank you
Thanks for your response. Other soldier flies I have seen in this area are black and green. Always finding something that is new to me.
