Haven't seen one like this before, thanks in advance for ID thoughts. I have additional shots of the specimen if needed.

Tramea lacerata
Black Saddlebags. They are not as dark when immature. The yellow spots on the top of segment 7 separates this from Red or Carolina.

Thanks Dan I know I had heard of some sort of generic name associated to the black patches... But couldn't think of Saddlebags. Thanks for the detail & reasoning.
