Resembles dead crumpled leaf; has "hooks" on ends of legs. Observed at sunset on unknown leaf.

Thanks for the quick response! I figured it was a stinging insect with so much "hair." I got stung by a saddleback caterpillar last year -- wow! was it painful! I know to avoid brightly-colored insects but this one was on the underside of the leaf and I didn't see it. Felt like I'd been hit with a whole lot of volts!
