Sawfly Larvae - Yellow and Green with Black Head - Macremphytus Baton Rouge, Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center, East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, USA September 2, 2016 Size: about 3/4 inch long
In this picture there are 3 individuals from the same group, on the same plant,on the same day as the first picture in this set.
They are on the underside of a leaf.
Two are in a coiled mode that is common when they are at rest.
One is not coiled and does not have a black head.
(I wonder if it has just molted?)
