Erythrodiplax umbrata - Erythrodiplax umbrata - Male
Pinellas County, Florida, USA
September 10, 2016
First one I've ever seen. Please confirm if the id is correct. Looks like Pinellas is almost on the northern most edge of its range in Florida. Although the maps in Dragonflies and Damselflies of the East show it West of Florida. I didn't see any other photos in Bugguide.net this far North in Florida, so don't know how rare it is to occur here. I had four, all males.

range
Odonata Central has a number of records north of there including single records in Franklin and Duval counties.

Thank you
Larry.
