It would be really nice if this rearing could be repeated...
It seems highly probable that this is a mine of
Astrotischeria ambrosiaeella
and that the
Bucculatrix
larva was responsible for the external feeding damage, though if there was just this one leaf and you photographed both sides, it's hard to see how you would have missed seeing the larva...

Does Terry have this specimen? It isn't one of the
Bucculatrix
specimens he reported on in January.

Was this collected as a miner...
or as an externally feeding larva? Both of the known
Ambrosia
feeders that might occur in OK produce primarily linear mines, which I don't see here. The cocoon appears to be pinkish rather than white, suggesting
Bucculatrix agnella
over
B. ambrosiaefoliella
. A shot of the larva would help to confirm... I don't know the adult characters offhand.

Larva in leaf
Scarcely visible. I do not recall seeing the larva while external.

Might as well add the other photos you have of the leaf
If the larva was in the apparent blotch mine that occupies most of the right half of the leaf, I would suspect this is neither of the possibilities I mentioned.
