ND weevil - Grypus equiseti
Mirror Pool, Ransom County, North Dakota, USA
July 18, 1992
Size: 7 mm
Collected in an area that is no longer open to study...Any help would be appreciated...

Moved from ID Request.

looks like one of the marsh weevils
try Grypus or related

Great thanks
Specimen keyed out to the genus in American Beetles, and based on images that I could find of the other two species, the best fit is Grypus equiseti, although this specimen is not as well marked..
