Probably the absolute smallest Robber Fly I have ever noticed or photo'd. Wonderfull colorization.

Megaphorus sp.
Size? I'm not sure about the bright blue eyes, but the range for Megaphorus clausicellus includes New Mexico. Let's see what the experts say. Most of the images from your state remain at the genus level, at this time.
