Very well camouflaged, it is only about the size of a grain of rice, and sat motionless.

Fieberiella florii
This is a female; they have the prominent white band around the middle of the abdomen. The fine black dots all over the wings are characteristic of the privet leafhopper, and introduced European species reported from California first in 1944.
