This species was described from Arkansas and Ontario, and there are no further published records; Erik van Nieukerken isn't sure if the Ontario specimen is really the same species, but he says the ones I reared from these mines definitely are.

The adult has emerged and is definitely not S. macrocarpae; it has unmarked black forewings.

Thanks for the update--the length of the pupal stage is still something difficult for me to get used to--how long to wait before I give up on a specimen.
