Yellow Sally

Yellow Sally
Dry Creek, Sanders County, Montana, USA
June 5, 2007
I'm pretty sure this is the one called Yellow Sally.

Moved
Moved from Stoneflies.

Chloroperlidae
Looks like.

How can I
tell those apart from green-winged stoneflies?

green-winged
stoneflies never (seldom? rarely?) have the wings a solid light yellow or green, while choroperlids do. Also, the wings of chloroperlids are fairly flat and gradually widening to near the apex in appearance, while there is a bit more of a curve to the wings of perlodids, and they are relatively more narrow. Subtle, but seems to work for me.
