The Pherne are so similar. However, based on the coloration, and the scalloped FW, with the sharp midway point, I would agree with you. From the comments you have made on several posts, you appear to know your moths. Would you please take a few minutes to add a brief description of your experience, to your account page. No Moth Experience
We (my sister and I) have no expertise in moths. We are learning from your guide. Usually, we start by looking at pictures at MPG, and then go to bugguide and search the guide. We find the info pages (with discussion about number of species and how to distinguish them) particularly useful.
