is shallower.

Okay! Sympetrum internum.
Sympetrum obtrusum does have a more pure white face. Sympetrum internum does seem to have the leading veins in the wings pale orange. How reliable is that? I removed the picture as I didn`t have copyright. There may be a few mis-identifications in this group.

Veins
I think the wing markings can be a bit variable, but I'm not positive. I've not heard that used as a field mark.
With this species group, I think misidentifications are common (understandably so!).
