"A very nice beastie. It is a pity that the photo is slightly out of focus. I am pretty sure this is Anagyrus paralia Noyes & Menezes – it is a very characteristic species. It has been recorded from the USA (Az, Tx) Mexico, Costa Rica and I think also Colombia".

Great find. A new species page can be created for this encyrtid, possibly its first appearance in California.
