Size: 5.3 mm
I believe this would be a new species for Bugguide if it is indeed one of the three species of Grypus. Does anyone have a PDF of Cawthra (1957) so that I would be able to key it out? I do not have access to the journals that this paper is in..Based on images I have been able to find online, it seems to fit best with G. leechi.

I started a guide page, but have not been able to find any info, including Cawthra's description. JSTOR does not even have anything on Cawthra or Grypus. Maybe somebody else will help you.

Proceedings
The proceedings can be read from Wiley Online Library for $6. However, the Catalog of the Coleóptera of America North of Mexico indicates the range for G. leechi as a western species.
