Previous photos thought to be indicating the spider was Phidippus apacheanus. It molted 24 September 2016 and the pattern changed to black with black striped red abdomen.

Phidippus
This seems much more likely to be P. ardens than P. johnsoni. P. ardens is basically the same species as texanus and purpuratus. Much like P. apacheanus, they can all have light colored scales and light colored legs and palps as juveniles. P. johnsoni is darker as juveniles with red legs and palps.
