Silken Fungus Beetle - Antherophagus ochraceus
Richmond Hill, York Region, Ontario, Canada

Size: 4 mm
On Daucus carota flowerhead. I'm stumped on this one. For starters, my guess is Tenebrionidae. Can somebody please point me in the right direction?

I was way off, as I had expected. I'll post some better images of the same beetle.

it is an Antherophagus (Cryptophagidae). Development takes place in bumblebee nests, adults are told to be phoretic.
