Asilid - Cophura arizonensis
Carr Canyon, Huachuca Mountains, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
August 4, 2016
Found a spot up near Carr Ruins where these were perching on very small rocks and on the ground. I saw the initial one out of the corner of my eye when I was photographing a ground mantis.

Confirmation/correction on species det is appreciated.
