Megachile perihirta, host of Stelis laticincta--in California? - Megachile perihirta

Megachile perihirta, host of Stelis laticincta--in California? - Megachile perihirta
Rohnert Park, Sonoma County, California, USA
September 29, 2016
Size: ~10mm?
I got one shot of this small, all-gray bee nectaring on Asclepias; then, gone. It was quite hairy, like thin fur almost, and uniformly light gray. Is it a coincidence that this ringer for Megachile campanulae was photographed a day after Stelis laticincta was recorded in the very same area (within 10 feet)? or is it just wishful thinking that I was lucky enough to get kleptoparasite and host species on subsequent days?

Megachile male
Likely perihirta

Note robust form and modified forelegs

Megachile male
It was in full sun, at eye level three feet in front of me; it appeared to be a uniform light gray: no yellow, no brown, and that--to be oxymoronic--made it strikingly muted.
