Chalcosyrpus nemorum
I now am now confident this is Chalcosyrphus nemorum.
Swollen hind femora which is narrowing abruptly BEFORE tip of femur.
Hind tibia very narrowly pale at base. BLACK prominent knob at base of tibia before bending and attaching to femur.
