Dasytine from El Paso.
This is the male of Cradytes serricollis (LeConte). Males always have some amount of yellow or brown color on the elytra. Females are entirely dark. This species emerges in the Fall, usually September/October and is common on Fall blooming Compositae such as Guierrezia. The distribution includes Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico Texas, Utah and Wyoming.

This is great info Adriean!
Much appreciated! If a BG Editor agrees with your ID, this would be the only BG entry outside New Mexico.
