Dasytine from El Paso.
This is the male of Cradytes serricollis (LeConte). Males always have some amount of yellow or brown color on the elytra. Females are entirely dark. This species emerges in the Fall, usually September/October and is common on Fall blooming Compositae such as Guierrezia. The distribution includes Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico Texas, Utah and Wyoming.

I collected this guy in southern AZ (outside Fred Skillman's place)--that was about 10 years ago but now I remember the sexual dimorphism with regards to color.
