Band-winged grasshopper.
These little devils are so maddening. They seem to intentionally frustrate their identification:-) Do they know I need to see the hind tibia? This is in the subfamily of band-winged grasshoppers, but I can't offer even a genus ID right now....Any idea what color the hindwings were?

Hey Eric, After some extens
Hey Eric,
After some extensive digging, I think I got the ID! It is Lake Huron Locust (Trimerotropis huroniana). The area where I photographed this species was mentioned in the link below on page 3, area #1. After reading the abstract and knowing the habitat, I am very confident ths is correct.
