Tiny Moth - Proleucoptera smilaciella

Tiny Moth - Proleucoptera smilaciella
Mobile (Dog River), Mobile County, Alabama, USA
October 5, 2016
Size: TL ≈ 3mm

Moved tentatively to Proleucoptera smilaciella
Moved from Butterflies and Moths.

It appears to be right, at least for now. Given it's the only species [u]known[/i] in the genus, and in the SE, i'l park it here until I know more. Hopefully, I'll see another.

Greenbrier
I have a vague recollection of seeing mines of this species on greenbrier in your front yard. If there is in fact greenbrier in your yard, then at least half of that memory isn't just in my imagination...

Smilax
We call it Smilax, down here. I have way more than I want. I will check some for mines.

Lyonetiidae?
Looks kinda like

.
