Syritta flaviventris? - Syritta flaviventris - Male
Mentor/Wake Robin Trail in the Mentor Marsh, Lake County, Ohio, USA
October 6, 2016
Size: 8 to 10mm
Found in a protected marsh area. Stayed on flowers in low vegetation. Smaller and seemed to have different flight habits compared to other similar species I've seen. S. flaviventris is the best match I can find. But I'm no expert...

First record for Ohio on BugGuide. Fabulous pictures showing clearly all the features identifying this as Syritta flaviventris.
Tergite 3 with spots joining to form a complete band, two small white spots on dorsum on transverse suture line. Long spur projection at base of hind femora on posteroventral surface (on other two images}..
